This draft describes the information handled by the current VoyceUp application. The operator's identity, contact details, hosting providers, retention periods, and applicable regional rights must be confirmed before publication as a final policy.

Information you provide

Account information includes your name, username, email address or phone number, birth date, and password stored as a hash. You may also provide a bio, website link, profile photo, banner, posts, media, voice recordings, Stories, messages, and challenge entries. The service records activity such as follows, Amps, votes, notifications, and Story views.

How information is used

The application uses this information to sign you in, display your profile and content, deliver messages and notifications, run challenges, record votes, and support moderation and security. Your microphone is used when you choose to record and grant browser permission.

What other people can see

Your profile and public posts or approved challenge entries can be visible to other visitors, including people who are not signed in. Direct messages are shown to the participants through the application; they are not described as end-to-end encrypted. Story creators can see viewer lists. Account contact information and birth dates are not displayed on public profiles by the current application.

Cookies and service providers

The site uses a session cookie to maintain sign-in and related security checks. Hosting and any configured media-storage provider process information needed to deliver the service. The site currently loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google to retrieve them. Hosting logs and any additional analytics or advertising services need to be verified for the final policy.

Storage and retention

Content is stored by the site's hosting service or the media-storage provider configured by its operator. Stories stop appearing in the active viewer after their expiry and remain in the creator's archive for an additional 24 hours. Disappearing from the interface does not by itself establish when every file or backup is deleted. Final retention periods and deletion procedures are still to be confirmed.

Your choices and requests

You can choose what to post and update your profile photo and banner. You can revoke microphone access in your browser. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or other handling of your personal information. The verified contact and request process will be added before this policy is finalized.

Young people's privacy

VoyceUp's minimum age and any parental permission process are being finalized. Do not share your home address, school schedule, passwords, or other sensitive details in public content. The final policy must explain how age eligibility and children's privacy requests are handled.

Security and updates

No online service can promise absolute security. Use a unique password and take care with links and messages. Changes to this policy will be shown here with an updated effective date once the policy is finalized.
